Mr. Hesham Eissa, Senior Consultant and Climate Change & Environmental Expert at DCarbon Global, was a moderator during the Cairo Sustainable Energy Week – CSEW.

Mr. Hesham led a dynamic dialogue session on the implications of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) for the MENA region.

The session provided valuable insights on key topics such as #CarbonTrade, #CBAM, #LowCarbonDevelopment, #EnergyLabelling, and sustainable practices in the region. It was a great opportunity to engage with thought leaders and discuss strategies for advancing low-carbon development across the MENA region.

The event, hosted by Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE)), marked the first Cairo Sustainable Energy Week.

It provided a platform to discuss, analyze, and evaluate the opportunities and challenges faced by member states in formulating and implementing national sustainable energy policies while emphasizing reliable and inclusive access to energy services for all segments of society.
