Location: Cairo, Egypt      Type of Contract: Individual Contract         Duration of Initial Contract: One Year, renewable

Job Description:

The Communication Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communication strategy to enhance DCarbon Global’s brand reputation, increase visibility, and support strategic business goals. The role will include managing all internal and external communications, content creation, media relations, and social media management to ensure consistent messaging and branding.

Responsibilities:

  1. Team Supervision:
    1. Supervise the design team, ensuring that all visual content aligns with the brand’s guidelines and strategic goals.
    2. Oversee the communication and PR team, guiding the development and execution of effective communication strategies.
  1. Communication Strategy & Planning:
    1. Develop and execute an integrated communication strategy to support DCarbon Global’s mission, vision, and business objectives.
    2. Create communication plans for new projects, services, and initiatives, ensuring alignment with the overall brand strategy.
    3. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  1. Content Development & Management:
    1. Lead content creation for all communication channels, including newsletters, press releases, presentations, and corporate reports.
    2. Manage the editorial calendar and oversee content approval processes to ensure high-quality and timely delivery.
    3. Ensure all content adheres to DCarbon’s brand guidelines and tone of voice.
  2. Media Relations & Public Relations:
    1. Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
    2. Coordinate and manage press releases, media kits, and public statements.
    3. Handle crisis communication and provide guidance on media responses and strategies.
  3. Social Media & Digital Communications:
    1. Develop and manage DCarbon’s social media strategy, ensuring alignment with the communication plan.
    2. Oversee the creation and scheduling of social media content, tracking performance metrics to optimize engagement.
    3. Manage online reputation and respond to inquiries and comments in a timely manner.
  4. Internal Communication:
    1. Collaborate with HR and other departments to develop internal communication initiatives that enhance employee engagement and organizational culture.
    2. Oversee the development of internal newsletters, announcements, and events communications.
  5. Brand Management:
    1. Ensure brand consistency across all communication channels and materials.
    2. Support marketing campaigns and events to enhance brand visibility and market positioning.
  6. Stakeholder Engagement:
    1. Liaise with clients, partners, and stakeholders to communicate key updates and foster strong relationships.
    2. Support business development efforts by providing communication support and materials for proposals and presentations.
  7. Reporting & Analysis:
    1. Prepare reports on communication activities, including media coverage, social media performance, and campaign results.
    2. Provide recommendations based on data insights to improve future communication strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the sustainability or consulting sectors.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and social media management.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven experience in media relations and crisis communication management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and communication tools.
