Job Summary: A Sustainability Researcher plays a key role in helping clients with diverse sustainability needs, including the development of comprehensive sustainability reports, execution of materiality assessments, and stakeholder engagement. They also provide technical recommendations and transfer knowledge to help clients align with business and ESG objectives, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder expectations, thereby improving sustainability practices and achieving their sustainability goals.
Roles & Responsibility
- Sustainable Reporting: A Sustainability Researcher is responsible for assisting clients in developing sustainability reports that document their sustainability performance and progress. This includes collecting and analyzing data, and creating reports that meet reporting standards and best practices
- Sustainable Strategy: A Sustainability Researcher shall contribute to the development of sustainability strategies for clients that outline specific actions to improve their sustainability performance. This could involve a range of initiatives, such as improving energy efficiency, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, enhancing supply chain sustainability, and promoting social responsibility.
- Sustainability Assessment: A Sustainability Researcher is responsible for conducting sustainability assessments to identify areas for improvement and potential opportunities. This includes assessing a client’s environmental impact, social policies, and corporate governance practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement: A Sustainability Researcher is responsible for engaging with stakeholders, including employees, suppliers, customers, and local communities, to promote sustainability practices and build support for sustainability initiatives.
- Regulatory Compliance: A Sustainability Researcher is responsible for helping clients comply with relevant sustainability regulations and standards, including environmental regulations, labor laws, and human rights standards.
- Continuous Improvement: A Sustainability Researcher is responsible for continuously monitoring and evaluating sustainability performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring that clients are achieving their sustainability goals.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, Business Administration, or Social Studies (Master’s Degree in a sustainability-relevant field is an advantage).
- Minimum 0- 2 years of experience.
- Familiarity with ESG Reporting Frameworks.
- Demonstrated strength in data analysis and report writing.
- Ability to work with large data sets and produce effective reports.
- Passion for delivering value for clients.
- Passion for following sustainability trends globally.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- A team player, and excellent management under pressure.
- Excellent in Arabic and English content writing.
