Towards A Green Built Environment in Egypt … The Voice of the Full Value Chain
This week, IFC – International Finance Corporation held 2 round tables for more than 80 participants representing the whole value chain of the built environment together with banks and investors to address barriers towards greening the construction materials sector in Egypt. These round tables are part of the IFC and world bank program of scaling up climate finance supported by IKI Germany.
Throughout 2 full days, stakeholders across the whole value chain of the built environment discussed the potential reductions and technological and financial barriers towards developing a roadmap for bankable green projects. For the roadmap to be impactful DCarbon Egypt and Arup facilitated the discussion among stakeholders to root the initiative’s identity being, 100% reflecting the Egyptian context.
DCarbon Egypt would like to thank all the stakeholders across the whole value chain of the built #environment and #financial sector participants in #Egypt for their fruitful contributions and informative discussions that will facilitate the development of a future roadmap for sector decarbonization. Your sector contributes enormously to socioeconomic development in Egypt, your voice has been heard, and your inputs will inform the roadmap.
DCarbon Egypt & Arup facilitated these roundtables, and the discussions; brought all the stakeholders together.
