Yara graduated from the British University in Egypt, holding a bachelor’s degree in Economics, with a major in economic development.
Yara graduated in September 2020 with distinction with Honors and ranked at the top of her class for four consecutive years. Her dissertation thesis was related to social sustainability and more precisely to human capital development, education, knowledge creation, and innovation.
Yara has a great experience in the field of economic research and analysis. She won the best research project for undergraduate students in 2020 from the British University in Egypt. She completed an internship as an economic research assistant at Cairo Center for development Benchmark and another internship as an economic researcher in Behavioral and Experimental Economics at Hamburg University in Germany. In addition, Yara acquired great knowledge in the banking sector as she completed two internships, one at the National Bank of Kuwait and another at Banque Du Caire. She also worked as Accounting Teaching Assistant for IGCSE for two years. Yara acquired a wide knowledge in different economic fields including economic development, environmental economics, financial economics, banking, statistics, behavioral economics, experimental economics, the economics of religion, strategic management, financial planning, entrepreneurship, and project management.
