World governments meeting at Bonn Climate Change Conference from 6 to 16 June 2022 prelude to Egypt’s Climate Change COP27 in November.

World Governments are meeting for the first time since Climate Change COP 26 in Glasgow last November. The Bonn Conference emphasizes focusing on climate change mitigation and adaptation and supporting developing countries. The conference started this month on the 6th of June and running till the 14th of the month, aims to set the grounds for the success of COP27 in Egypt this November which will focus on implementation of the Paris agreements into practice.
تجتمع حكومات العالم للمرة الأولى منذ الدورة السادسة والعشرين لمؤتمر الأطراف المعني بتغير المناخ في غلاسكو في نوفمبر الماضي، وتركز جهود مؤتمر بون على التخفيف من آثار تغير المناخ والتكيف معه ودعم البلدان النامية. بدأ المؤتمر هذا الشهر في 6 يونيو ويستمر حتى 14 من الشهر، ويهدف إلى إرساء أسس نجاح مؤتمر المناخ ٢٧ في مصر في نوفمبر القادم والذي سيركز على تنفيذ اتفاقيات باريس

Ms Madeleine Diouf Sarr on behalf of Least Developed Countries demands ambitious and fair emissions cut targets to suit the most vulnerable.
تطالب السيدة مادلين ضيوف سار، نيابة عن البلدان الأقل نمواً، بأهداف طموحة وعادلة لخفض الانبعاثات لتناسب الفئات الأكثر ضعفاً
Ms Madeleine Diouf Sarr, Chair of the group of 46 least developed countries (LDCs) emphasised the importance of fair and ambitious targets to scale up emissions reduction targets and support the poorest and most vulnerable in mitigating and adapting to Climate Change effects.
أكدت السيدة مادلين ضيوف سار، رئيسة مجموعة البلدان الأقل نمواً البالغ عددها 46، على أهمية الأهداف العادلة والطموحة لتوسيع نطاق أهداف خفض الانبعاثات ودعم أفقر الفئات وأكثرها ضعفاً في التخفيف من آثار تغير المناخ والتكيف معها

Eu Parliament Votes in favour of banning combustion engine car sales by 2035, while the measures are still to be debated at the council, supporters of the legislation consider it to be one of the most ambitious targets to cut down CO2 emissions by 55% by 2030 from 1990 levels.
صوت البرلمان الأوروبي لصالح حظر مبيعات السيارات ذات محركات الاحتراق بحلول عام 2035، بينما لا تزال الإجراءات قيد المناقشة في المجلس، يعتبر مؤيدو التشريع أنه أحد أكثر الأهداف طموحًا لخفض انبعاثات ثاني أكسيد الكربون بنسبة 55٪ بحلول عام 2030 من مستويات 1990.

Egyptian Foreign Minister and President Designate of COP 27 Sameh Shokry met with African Group of Negotiators in Bonn Germany, ahead of climate summit this November in Egypt. The Egyptian FM discussed the importance of consensus on climate action by all parties and separating climate negotiations from ongoing geopolitical developments.
التقى وزير الخارجية المصري والرئيس المكلف لمؤتمر الأطراف السابع والعشرين لتغير المناخ سامح شكري مع مجموعة المفاوضين الأفارقة في بون ، ألمانيا ، قبل قمة المناخ في نوفمبر في مصر. وناقش وزير الخارجية المصري أهمية التوافق على العمل المناخي من قبل جميع الأطراف وفصل مفاوضات المناخ عن التطورات الجيوسياسية الجارية.

Egypt and the UK Celebrated their green partnership at the British Embassy in Cairo last Thursday, with UK signing funding programs and financial investment agreements towards Climate Financing.

Egypt and the UK celebrated their Green Partnership at the ‘150 days to go’ event last Thursday at the British embassy in Cairo, were the UK signed a guarantee agreement with the African Development Bank which will unlock $2bn of Climate Finance across Africa. The British Council also announced other financial support programs aimed at greening the cultural and educational sectors in Egypt.
احتفلت مصر والمملكة المتحدة بشراكتهما الخضراء في حدث “ 150 يومًا على الانطلاق ” يوم الخميس الماضي في السفارة البريطانية بالقاهرة، حيث وقعت المملكة المتحدة اتفاقية ضمان مع بنك التنمية الأفريقي الذي سيتيح 2 مليار دولار من تمويل المناخ في جميع أنحاء إفريقيا. كما أعلن المجلس الثقافي البريطاني عن برامج استثمار مالي أخرى تهدف إلى تخضير القطاعات الثقافية والتعليمية في مصر بقيمة 11 مليون جنيه
